So You Want to Grill Steak - Pt.1

Ask 47 different people how to grill a steak and you get 740 different answers.

A few things you need to decide if you are new to grilling steaks:
  1. Steak doneness
Yep I said a few, but this is where you need to start as it dictate what happens next. Before I continue:
I cannot be held responsible if you decide to consume raw foods . . . Don't do it . . . Don't try it . . . Just don't.
Fire up ye ole Google and search on steak doneness to get an idea of what each level looks like. I tend enjoy my steaks in the range of medium-rare to medium.

Temperature range for level of doneness:
  • Medium-Rare = 130º-135º
  • Medium = 140º-145º
Finally is the thickness of your steak. The thicker the steak, the easier it is grill to the level of doneness you desire. So now, you have a few tools that will determine how well your adventure in cooking a steak will be . . .
